Moving right along

Well !!! what a few weeks its been.. firstly i hope everyone had a marvelous christmas and new year, i did even though it was busy and tiring.. christmas day was different for me this year as i spent 1/2 of it at my work with crisis kids.. it was kinda sad really as most of them just were not into it, but who can blame them really when they have no family to share it with.. we did our best though we bought them all a few gifts and did a wicked breakfast which i must say most of them didnt eat !! bacon, eggs, ham, tomatoes and crumpets along with juice of there desire... i enjoyed it though except for the eggs as those that know me know i DO NOT eat eggs !! eWWwwy things they are... anyway after leaving work i called over to a mates and had a quick merry christmas exchange and coffee then proceeded to rescue my kids from there fathers house, they were both busting to come home to rip into there presents from mummy you see.. we spent the day figuring out Ipods and mp3 players and computer games, tho i must admit all i wanted to do was have a much needed nana nap !! anyway moving right along.... christmas night was spent with my family and friends eating good food drinking alcomohol (which i might add i had big plans of getting sloshed.. but it didnt happen).. gifts were exchanged, lots of chatting and laughter and all in all a good night was had by all :) ... ermm i think !!! ok next came boxing day, which i spent the arvo with my dad, when we finally got thru the damn traffic jam that is !! every man and his dog was on the rd to mandurah you see as there was some fancy concert on that afternoon/evening there.. DOH !! when on earth do i fit in some rest you ask ?? well i think i did that night so yeah.... ok moving right along again days just happened inbetween xmas and new years, work kids work kids work kids and i have to say by new years i was pretty stuffed !! new years eve was just me and my daughter and we stayed home, i bought myself a cop scanner and was gonna relax and have a listen to all the norti people on new years eve ermmm but i was asleep like at 10.30pm, DOH !! again.. anyway we are in the new year now and things are much the same as they were last year, we still have like 3 weeks of school holidays left to endure AND cough up large amounts of money to get the kids back into school, books, stationary, uniforms bla bla blaaaaa its never ending eh !! well HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone out there and i hope you all had a good one *grin* till next time tataaaa for now :P

3 more sleeps... for some they wish it never was

well its that time of year again where everyone is rushing around buying gifts, food and grog, the shops are packed the roads are mayhem and the kids are all getting very excited.. everywhere i go i see ppl maxing out there credit cards, putting themselves into debt to make sure that they have a something for everyone and sometimes more than enough for someone... i to am guilty of this over the years but not this year !!! since i began working in crisis i have seen so many young people that just dont get anything, they have no loving family to spend the day with and christmas is a rather depressing time of the year for them.. they are lucky if they get a bed to sleep in or a meal in their stomachs and the chances of them actually having a loving family to spend the christmas season with is next to 0 !! this year i am going to be working on christmas eve through to christmas morning and myself and other staff at our crisis house will try our best to ensure that the residents we house will have some form or a tatste of christmas !! we have purchased each of them a gift, small it is but none the least a gift to open. we will also we making a BBQ breakfast for them, something im sure none of them would have experiences in many years.. this christmas i will spend the evening with my children, family and close friends, we will all probably be drinking, eating great food, sharing lots of laughs and exchanging gifts.. please enjoy yourselves and have a marvelous christmas but take one minute of your day to think about each and every person in this world that for some reason or other will not be celebrating the christmas that we are all so lucky to enjoy.. me me me me me meeeeeeeee

this is meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ... speaking of me i should tell u a little bit about me hey !! well im 38 nowdays *sigh* im happily single with 2 of the most darling yet painful kidlets, painful as they cost me an arm and a leg and they are both at that teenage time in there life, so yeah go figure !! but no serious they are my world and my pride and joy as well as my headache *grin*...
i work fulltime as a residential youth worker in a crisis house for homeless teenagers and man do i love my job.. its very fullfilling.. ok i hafta scoot so i will have to continue my story another time,, scratchya laterz :P

Well well well, after months of following the bl0gs of my darling nieces and nephews AuntY has decided to have a crack at having a go at blogging herself.. i will have to come up with some really cool stuff though and that might take some time so bare with poor little old aunty and sit on the edge of your seats in wait for the next exciting blog !!
